ABOUT
PETER J. LUCE.
Peter
Luce is a qualified, highly-experienced counsellor
and psychotherapist.
He
was born in 1956. He has
practiced as a counsellor
and psychotherapist
in London, in Plymouth, and in his native Cornwall. Since 1993 he
has been using psychotherapy
to assist people to achieve their goals. His policy is to
help clients using the fastest and most effective methods, the
better to enable them to achieve happiness and to get on with
their lives. Here's what Peter Luce says about how and why he
became a therapist.
" Counselling
and psychotherapy enables me to help my clients find real
solutions to their problems. As a psychiatric nurse I was always
more interested in listening to patients and trying to understand
them, rather than just handing out medications. "
"Being
a therapist fits in with my personality and interests. Even in
social situations, I have often found that I seem to attract
people who need to tell someone about their problems. Fortunately
I have always been fascinated by human beings."
"Studying
psychology has taught me a lot- but my greatest teacher has always
been my own experience, especially my interactions with the
thousands of people whom I meet- each and every one of them
unique"
"I
have always been inspired by the achievements of men and women who
have overcome great difficulties. Having not just read about such
people, but also known so many of them personally, gives me an
optimistic view of human capabilities."
